“Empowering and inspiring women and children in Africa through education, distribution of essentials, and providing vocational skills that will allow them to thrive, not just survive.”

Working Together

The Africa Children’s Project was created by Life and Wellness Coach, Sima Cohen. Sima has always dreamed of taking her teachings and philanthropy far beyond the U.S and so her non-profit was born. Through this nonprofit Sima and her team will provide young girls with mentorship and vital resources that will give them the power and confidence to obtain jobs and create a solid future for themselves. With the help of the non-profit “Friends Together” the team will embark on volunteer trips to Tanzania to provide schooling and school supplies to children in need. Africa Children’s Project will also aid Friends Together in their Flow Project which distributes reusable sanitary pads to women and girls throughout the region. With funds collected through the Africa Children’s Project we will be able to provide children with food, clothes, school supplies and resources that are instrumental in ensuring these children will succeed and live a full and happy life.

About Friends Together

Solar Lights for Women in Tanzania

Cathy Robinson and her late husband Steve Prickett founded Friends Together in 2000. Cathy’s journey with HIV began when she was infected as a result of sexual assault in 1984. Their dream was to make a better future one person at a time through education and compassion. Over the next two decades, Friends Together became internationally known in its quest to assist families, particularly those with children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, by providing education, support, and a plan for living. Today many of those served by Friends Together have gone on o a better life of completing college, embarking on careers, and creating their own families.
